Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS)

At Johnson Road Dental, we proudly accept the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) for eligible children aged 0–17 years. Through this program, your child may be entitled to up to $ 1,132 in general and restorative dental care over two calendar years, either fully covered or partially subsidised.

Your child’s first appointment will be for a detailed assessment and consultation with one of our dentists.

We will discuss any concerns or problems and, following a detailed examination, we will go through the treatment needs and options available. However, we understand that very often patients and also parents, come to see us for the first time with a degree of anxiety and we know that behaviour of the child in the first dental visit often shapes the behaviour in subsequent visits. Therefore, we aim to make their first visit an easy and positive introduction to dentistry, whilst evaluating the anxiety and co-operation levels of the child.
